At AGC (Commodity Store) Ltd. we deal with all sectors of the coffee industry, from origin to arrival in UK ports, to warehousing within our two strategically positioned UK sites. As a small team we are able to establish and maintain excellent, personal relationships with all our customers.

Storage & Handling

Our warehouses in Essex are situated close to both Tilbury and London Gateway Ports and have excellent access for distribution to the A13 and M25 trunk routes.

Likewise, in Yorkshire, our warehouses have good access to the M62 and major arterial routes.

All warehouses are well appointed and secure and are managed by our own employees.

We handle intake of both 60/70kg bag consignments and 1000kg
tay bags from container at both sites, and various speciality coffee lots. All lots are uniquely accounted for, palletised, weighed and stowed, and sampled as required.

DIstribution

Each lot is stored under a unique rotation number, allowing for an accurate and precise audit trail and traceability. This means we can confidently pick and despatch orders against delivery orders, noting rotation numbers and consignment marks. This system complies with Organic, RFA and Fairtrade requirements.

We can deliver full loads on pallets, or smaller consignments of one bag upwards, repalletised on suitable Euro and Standard pallets, securely strapped and shrinkwrapped.

All deliveries are prepared in advance to allow for speedy loading to carriers.

Documentation and Administration

All administration is handled in our offices at our facility in Essex. Documents are received here and customs formalities are handled in house, enabling us to arrange reception and handling of physical consignments efficiently and accurately.

We have excellent relations with the major shipping lines and local hauliers and arrange all costs for inland charges to avoid unnecessary delays. Outturn reports, accounts and all advices are usually completed on the day of arrival at our warehouse. Deliveries, stock control and financial accounting are all managed in our Essex offices.
